IT Background & History (in a nutshell)

Beginning in college (1988) with a Mac Plus, I wrote Word reports and sequenced MIDI with Studio Vision (Opcode). When I went to work at Singapore Broadcasting Corporation as a Studio Production Manager, I pioneered Digital Audio Music Production on both Mac and PC platforms beginning ProTools version .5 and following the industry's development up to the current version.

To better manage the Creative Services Department, studio bookings, clients contracts, and revenue tracking, I learned to program with MS Access V.1 and began writing advanced databases on Windows 3.11 and later Win 95/98/NT/XP. Of course I continued developing my knowledge and use of Both Mac & Win software tools over then next 10 years. Eventually I embraced SQL and ASP/ Visual Basic to develop databases, IIS Server for Internet deployment, Windows for network systems, and Macintosh computers for all aspects of Creative Production.

During my years as a webmaster, I managed a multimedia department and TCP/IP network infrastructure of workstations (both Mac and PC) and servers, including a DEC Alpha Server, Cisco Router, ATM 155MBits, 100MBits Ethernet, Running Windows NT Server, IIS Server, Exchange Mail Server, and various other 'servers' and server-side applications. I was the webmaster for all of Media Corp. Radio's website's. My department also used professional Printers, Scanners, Digital Cameras, and a maintained staff of Designers, Developers & Admins.

I learned and used all the tools for professional graphics design, internet development, video production, music and audio production, etc. in the course of my work over the years, and decided to become passionate about IT, Software, Hardware, Digital Design and Multimedia pertaining to all areas of electronic and print media, both visual and audio, in all industries.
